Alstonville locals donate thousands to Nepal quake victims
A DONATION stall set up by Rotary at the Alstonville Plaza has raised about $4500 over two days to help the earthquake victims in Nepal.
All money earned from the sausage sizzle went into fundraising, but most of the money was raised via a collection bucket.
One person put $400 in cash into the bucket, but donations were generally $5 to $50.
Rotary clubs around the world have sent 1700 emergency shelter tents to the disaster zone.
