Anti-gas protesters dump poo outside Thomas George's office
COW manure is the latest weapon in the fight against coal seam gas.
At a rally outside Lismore MP Thomas George's office this morning, a few bags of the stuff were dumped on the pavement along with several Nationals' election campaign fliers.
The message, according to Kyogle area farmer Peter Stackhouse, was simple: the Coalition's NSW Gas Plan was "full of it".
Mr Stackhouse, flanked by several farmers and activists, declared the much-vaunted plan would not protect the region's prime farmland and water from the gas industry.
Today's protest was yet another event in what has become a full-scale campaign against the Coalition on the coal-seam gas issue with all Lismore candidates except for the incumbent vowing to cancel any gas mining in the region if elected.
This includes Greens candidate Adam Guise, Labor candidate Isaac Smith, whose stance was joined recently by Christian Democrat candidate Gianpiero Battista.
