Are you Ballina's Best Babe?

TODAY the Ballina Jockey Club gates will open and punters will pour through, dressed to the nines in their race day outfits.

Some will enter into the traditional Fashions on the Field competition at the Ballina Races today, and have their style judged.

However, this year things will be a bit different.

If you're female, there are two different categories - one for women under 30 years of age and one for over 30.

This year there is a new category sure to turn some heads: The 2016 Best Ballina Babe.

The Best Ballina Babe is a new category open to women up to 30 years of age, and "style is based on innovative, style and attention to detail", it is stated on the Ballina Jockey Club website.

Headpiece is required.

Can you still be a "babe" over 30?

This poll ended on 15 September 2016.
