The Bachelor’s Heather is back with a new TV gig
THIS year's Bachelor favourite Heather Maltman has landed a new job with Channel 10.
After winning over the hearts of viewers, if not the heart of The Bachelor himself, Maltman will co-host Ten's new I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! companion series with Joel Creasey.
"I came and did a bit of chemistry testing with him and watched some of I'm A Celebrity from this past year," Maltman told APN at tonight's Upfronts presentation in Sydney.
"It was one of the easiest paring I've ever had. Joel Creasey gets my vibe. I walked out of there going I want that job.
The late-night show, which will be broadcast on ELEVEN and streamed on TenPlay after the main show, will include behind the scenes footage and all of the news and gossip from the jungle camp where a new crop of celebrities will live in isolation and compete in scary and gross challenges for our viewing pleasure.
"Based on who Joel and I are, it's going to be pretty quirky and a little bit out there," she said.
Tonight's 2016 programming launch was also the first time Maltman has seen The Bachelor Sam Wood since she was eliminated from the reality dating show.
Wood walked the red carpet with his girlfriend and season three winner Snezana Markoski.
"I was really sacred of seeing them, not because I have feelings for Sam anymore. I have an amazing boyfriend now," she said.
"It was more that I haven't to spoken to Sam since the show ended.
"I went up (to them) and said 'Hey, you guys are pretty'."
Chris Brown and Julia Morris return to host I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! from South Africa next year.
