Beef Producer Field Day for Casino

BEEF producers in the Casino district have the opportunity to learn about a range of issues that can impact on herd productivity in the first Beef Producer Field Days for the year thanks to North Coast Local Land Services.

The Field Days are being held as part of North Coast Local Land Services commitment to providing integrated agricultural advice to the region.

Local topics relevant to each local region have been included in the three events.

The North Coast Local Land Services team of District Veterinarians will present on animal health related issues, including information about cattle tick fever and a range of presenters will provide advice on pasture management, weed control and overall herd productivity and profitability.

Beef production is the North Coast's biggest single agricultural earner, with a gross value of $234 million to the region (ABARES 2011-12).

North Coast Local Land Services is committed to providing programs that improve productivity and support agricultural best practice for this vital industry.

The Beef Field Days are free events with lunch provided so please RSVP for catering purposes.
