UPDATE: Car hit power line before flipping

POLICE say the driver of a car, which flipped at one of Hervey Bay's busiest intersections, is "very lucky" not to have been injured.

Speaking to the Chronicle at the scene, Constable Nick Warren said it was believed the driver lost control in the wet conditions.

Fire crews also attended. 

According to Constable Warren, the vehicle the turned right into Urraween Rd, hit the median strip, then mounted and then flipped after running up power pole stay wires.

The driver was not injured and there was no damage to properties.

Tow truck crews removed the vehicle.

EMERGENCY Services are at the scene of a car rollover in Hervey Bay.

The crash happened on the corner of Main St and Urraween Rd about 1.45pm.
