Easter production from combined church choirs
A COMBINED choir of St Andrew's Church, Lismore and Spiritsong, under the direction of organist and music director, Warren Whitney will be presenting The Easter Story in Words and Music.
It will be presented during Passiontide, the week leading up to Good Friday and Easter, a period by which much music, whose object is solace and reflection, has been written for.
The Way of the Cross is a setting of words and music relating the journey through this most dramatic part of the Church year, the events leading up to, and the crucifixion, of Jesus.
The music includes choir settings of some old favourites such as Stainer's God so loved the world and Handel's Since by man came death.
The Easter Story in Words and Music:
Palm Sunday, St Mary's Anglican Church, Ballina, March 29, 2pm
Good Friday, St Andrew's Anglican Church, Lismore, April 3, 5.30pm
Free admission but there will be a retiring collection.
All welcome to come and reflect on the true meaning of Good Friday and Easter.
