8 Ball Aitken a flaming great show
THE flaming red-head from far north Queensland, 8 Ball Aitken, will launch his new live album, Alive in Tamworth, at the Australian Institute of Country Music tomorrow night.
The country-blues supremo will perform with support act, Olivia Nolan, a young up-and-coming Gympie musician and student of music institutes AICM and CMSOE.
This dynamic live show will not be just a regular pub gig.
It will be a multi-dimensional explosion of sizzling sound that invites the audience to get up and dance the night away.
"I am really excited about my new album and I want people to have a mental vacation to the land of country blues and swamp music at all the gigs on this tour," he said.
"I'm cruising back to Gympie to launch my new album because the last gig went off well and that is why I am coming back.
"This time I am going smooth."
The musician has just had his flaming red beard shaved for the first time in nine years to raise funds for Leukaemia Foundation research.
So far he has raised more than $2500 and the lines are still open.
