Groove at Lennox Palooza

A NEW music event is set to bring music and fun to Lennox Head from next week.

Lennox Palooza will offer an afternoon of music and fun at Hotel Lennox with local and interstate performers.

Organiser Trent Chapman said Lennox Palooza was an upgrade from the regular Sunday session.

"Quite often you get a DJ or a solo artist, but we thought we would have a go at it and get some local talent plus some other quality musicians not from the area," he said.

"Last month we had The Mumblers here; we couldn't believe how many people they brought to the pub on a Sunday."

Mr Chapman said The Mumblers would be playing from 2pm to 4pm on the day.

Then at 5pm, local musician Simon Doe will play until 6pm.

"Simon was up at the Buskers Stage at Bluesfest this year and has quite a big local following," he said.

From 6pm to 7pm, Trent Chapman said Byron Bay duo Barely Standing will be entertaining the crowds.

At Hotel Lennox on Sunday, September 11, from 2pm to 7pm. Free event.
