The hottest addresses in Northern Rivers
Have a stickybeak at some of the most expensive streets in the region:
Ocean Street, Yamba
HAVING achieved an outstanding sale of $5.6 million right back in 2007, this address continues to be a strong performer in the local market.
The previously sold property boasted an absolute oceanfront location - definitely what you would call an exclusive address. Ocean Street has gorgeous ocean views. Large homes and units are almost a given in this location.
Victoria Street, Grafton
THIS sort of address combines character, history and heritage for many a waterfront home, according to First National Ford and Dougherty auctioneer Rod Ford. The ultimate result in Grafton is Victoria Street, which holds the title for hosting the most expensive residential sale in the area. The well maintained homes sit on a good natural land height, with the ambience of the Clarence River just a short stroll away.
Clarence Street, Yamba
ENJOYING the reputation as one of the largest streets in town, Clarence Street continues to achieve the majority of sales above $1 million for the area. Ray White Yamba principal Daniel Kelly said the street itself had to be seen to be believed, stretching along the eastern side of the hill. "Properties along the road can enjoy magnificent ocean views across any one of three beaches including Main, Convent and Pippi," he said.
Miller, McHugh and Breimba Streets, Grafton
KNOWN widely as "big river country", the upmarket end of Grafton continues to be about history and river frontage. Miller, McHugh and Breimba are all interconnected and follow the banks of the Clarence River. Homes here continue to be some of the most expensive in the area. You can boast having the median high tide mark as your boundary - your views would be nothing but the Clarence for miles.
