It's official - Norco has the best iced chocolate around

WE already knew that our local milk is some of the best in Australia - but now it's official.

Norco's Real Iced Chocolate has taken home gold in the prestigious 2016 Australian Grand Dairy Awards, announced in Melbourne this week.

With Australia's most accomplished dairy judges selecting Norco Real Iced Chocolate as the country's best flavoured dairy beverage, the North Coast can now proudly lay claim to beating gold medal winners from feeder shows around the country by being crowned the 'best of the best'.

Now in its 17th year, the Australian Grand Dairy Awards recognise and reward excellence, quality and innovation in Australian dairy produce, paying tribute to the highly-skilled Australians who develop and make these products.

This year, Norco Real Iced Chocolate battled fierce competition from other top flavoured dairy drinks to win over the judges' taste buds.

Mark Radford, National Sales and Marketing Manager for Norco, said it is both an honour and a privilege to be crowned the Champion Flavoured Dairy Beverage for 2016.

It is true testament to our Australian farmer owned dairy co-operative's dedication and passion for creating delicious, high quality dairy products.

"Dairy plays an essential role in most Australian's daily diet so we're very proud to be able to call ourselves the best when it comes to flavoured dairy beverages," Mr Radford said.

Norco Real Iced Chocolate is produced by Norco Foods in Raleigh, NSW on the outskirts of Coffs Harbour.

For this year's Australian Grand Dairy Awards, more than 400 products across 19 different classes were assessed in a rigorous and highly technical judging process by an expert panel.

Each product was tasted, tested and assessed for flavour, aroma, body, texture, colour and appearance to identify the highest scoring products.

As part of its win, Norco Real Iced Chocolate is now entitled to feature its exclusive Australian Grand Dairy Awards' medal in marketing efforts to ensure all Aussies can instantly identify a champion.
