Kevin Hogan welcomes Barnaby Joyce as Deputy PM
PAGE MP Kevin Hogan has said he looks forward to working with The Nationals' new leadership team who both have strong links to the Northern Rivers.
Following on from the recent news of Warren Truss' retirement from politics, and Barnaby Joyce's selection as leader of The Nationals.
"This is an exciting time for The Nationals," he said.
"I am delighted that Barnaby Joyce was elected unopposed as leader of the Nationals and deputy Prime Minister.
"Barnaby has always been a strong and passionate advocate for regional Australia, and coming from a neighbouring electorate he knows the Northern Rivers very well.
"Fiona Nash is also a regular visitor to the North Coast and as the Minister for Rural Health she has a deep understanding of the issues we face.
"I congratulate both Barnaby and Fiona. They make a great team that will always advocate in the interests of regional and rural communities."
