Brothers were left reeling at 2-0 with openers Brad Cleaver and Kale Hare dismissed in the four overs before stumps.

Regular captain Justin Moore will return from the Australian Country Championships in Bendigo for the second day of the game.

Elsewhere, Tintenbar-East Ballina grinded away to finish 8-264 (cc) against Alstonville at Hill Park Oval, Wollongbar.
