
Madrid steals Manchester Utd's spot at top of Forbes list
REAL Madrid has scored a big win over Manchester United - when it comes being rated the most valuable football team on the planet.
The Spanish giants have knocked the Red Devils off the top of the annual list compiled by business analysts, Forbes.
United had held top spot since Forbes started the list in 2004.
Real is valued at $US3.3 billion, up 76% from last year's estimate of $US1.88 billion, while United comes in at $US3.17 billion.
Barcelona ($US2.6 billion) is third, Arsenal ($US1.33 billion) fourth, and Bayern Munich ($US1.31 billion) fifth.
