Mystery millionaire found in Lismore
THE mystery Lotto winner from last Wednesday night's Lotto draw has come forward to claim their million dollar prize.
The Lismore man, who wished to remain anonymous, had spent the day at work unaware of the win.
"I still can't believe I went to work on Thursday and didn't know I was a millionaire!" the winner declared in a statement from NSW Lotteries.
It wasn't until he went to buy more tickets at News Extra Lismore Central he was alerted to the "decent" win.
"I grabbed the draw results slip and went home to check my ticket to see how many winning numbers I had. I couldn't believe it when I marked off all six winning numbers," the winner said.
The long-time Lotto player had been using the same numbers for four years, but this was by far his largest windfall.
"I was only saying to someone the other day that the most I'd won is about $400 and I didn't think I'd do that again - but now I've hit the jackpot!
"I'm planning to share my Wednesday Lotto windfall with my children."
Another prize of $11,000 was won last week in the Jackpot lottery, with the ticket sold at Alstonville News and Gifts.
With lady-luck shining on the region, it may be a good time to try your luck, with $10 million up for grabs in tonight's Oz Lotto draw and Powerball jackpotting to $25 million for Thursday night's draw.
