New Aussie Costco has some jaw-dropping items

COSTCO is like a supermarket on steroids.

The US warehouse giant has just opened another Aussie store in the suburb of Marsden Park, NSW, and a new opening means a fresh drop of "wow" products that are exclusive to each new store.

The new drop includes everything from a six-man paddleboard to a diamond engagement ring and even a 10kg block of Cadbury Dairy Milk.

"Wow items are often exclusively sold during a new warehouse opening. Our buyers are always on the look-out for products with that certain "wow" factor," Patrick Noone, Costco Managing Director told Kidspot.

One of the big ticket items that hit the new store is a 5.43 ctw Emerald Cut VS1, E colour diamond platinum engagement ring.

There are plenty of things to keep the family busy from a six-man paddle board to the Sunscream pedal boat and even a hiSUN Fun Kart 196CC, which looks like a little ATV cart.

If you're a drinker there's a VERY expensive bottle of Glen Grant 50 year old whiskey or if red wine is your thing, why not the Penfolds v12 Grange with St Louis Crystal decanter.

But easily, our favourite thing on the list has to be the 10kg block of Cadbury Dairy Milk chocolate and it literally will take two people to carry the box.

The other 'wow' products available at the Marsden Park store include:

  • A B&O Play Beoplay A9 WI-FI/Bluetooth wireless speaker
  • Burberry lipstick and a matching eye palette
  • A David Hockney SUMO book
  • Calvlsius Caviar with Mother of Pearl spoon
  • A Jamon Navidul Serrano leg with carving stand
  • Tabasco pepper sauce 3.8L
  • The Lyume 8600 massage chair
  • A Lego Technic Porsche 911 GT3

In 2016 Australian consumers spent $1.5 billion at Costco. The Marsden Park location is Costco's ninth store.

The chain has plans to next open another store in the Melbourne suburb of Epping and a third store in Brisbane.

In January 2016, Costco Managing Director, Patrick Noone, said other future stores could be located in regional parts of Australia such as Wollongong and Newcastle.
