Nipper bags a swag of medals

BYRON Bay surf lifesaver Zoe Hughes has returned home with a swag of medals after competing in the NSW Country Championships at Mollymook over the weekend.

Hughes bagged more than 10 medals as Byron Bay finished first in the overall points table for the fifth consecutive year.

Nippers competed on Friday, with open and masters competition on Saturday and Sunday.

"As a group we all had a great time," Byron Bay nippers president Simon Balcon said.

"It's wonderful to see all the training and effort our club has put in during the season culminate in such a great result."
