North Coast lotto player wins $1m

A NORTH Coast Lotto player is in for a surprise when they check their ticket and find out they have won the $1 million Wednesday Lotto division one prize.

As the owner of the winning ticket, purchased in Alstonville, did not register the ticket Lotteries officials have no way of contacting the winner with news of their win.

NSW Lotteries spokeswoman, Una O'Neill, said that Lotto players in the Alstonville area are encouraged to check their tickets as soon as possible.

"If you have recently purchased a Wednesday Lotto ticket from Alstonville Newsagency, you are encouraged to check it as soon as possible.

"That ticket could be worth $1 million," Ms O'Neill said.
