Osher Günsberg tips I'm A Celebrity winner after visit
OSHER Günsberg has tipped singer Casey Donovan to be triumphant in the jungle.
The Bachelor host says he expects the 29-year-old to take out the series title on Channel Ten's reality show, I'm A Celebrity ... Get Me Out Of Here!
Günsberg flew in to South Africa to make a cameo on the show, as well as deliver former The Bachelor contestant Keira Maguire as an intruder to spice things up two weeks in.
"I watch every season of this show and I think based on who has won in the past and based on the voting habits of the public, I am going to make the call that Casey Donovan is going to take it out this year,” Günsberg told News Regional Media.
"She has got exactly what it takes. She is a household name, who has overcome adversity and she is hilarious.”
Günsberg hosted Australian Idol when Donovan won the reality singing show in 2003 when she was just 16.
"Casey and I have known each other for a very long time and seeing her in the full bloom of womanhood is great because she was a teenager when I knew her last so hearing some of the saucy things coming out of her mouth, I thought, oh, you were a kid last time I knew you.”
Donovan is one of 12 celebrities to have entered the South African jungle camp two weeks ago, all vying to win the series and secure $100,000 for their chosen charity.
Other celebrities include Natalie Bassingthwaighte, Tziporah Malkah, Dane Swan, Nazeem Hussain, Lisa Curry and Ash Pollard.
Günsberg, 42, believes he would do well as a contestant on the show, although being vegan concedes he would struggle with the eating challenges.
"I think I would be all right on this show if I could get away with not putting dead things in my mouth,” he explained. "I am a bit of a fussy eater. I have never yet through my career had to put anything in my mouth to further my opportunities for work but it is still early days, you never know, I might be here next year.”
Of being vegan, he said: "I am plant based, I only put plants in my mouth. I don't want to eat anything that was alive, I just don't want to do it. I have been vegan since before Instagram so a long time. I don't think I would really be into the idea of eating ostrich anus for entertainment, I don't think I'd be able to do that.”
