A Somerset Parade is a five-piece alternative punk band formed in 2014.

The band is comprised of Dan Cornish on vocals, Matt Freeman on guitar and vocals, Andrew Nolan on guitar, Peter Hart on drums and Brad James on bass and vocals.

The band completed their line up in 2015 after recruiting Cornish to vocals and Nolan to second guitar.

ASP released their first EP Bright Young Things in December 2016 with the follow-up full-length album Against All Odds released last July.

ASP will be joined in Lismore by bands The Outcome, The Silencio and One Inch Off Average as they make their way through the East Coast.

The proceeds from the event will go to Heartfelt House, the Alstonville-based non-for-profit organisation that supports child sexual abuse survivors.

A Somerset Parade enjoys regular airplay on Triple J's Short.Fast.Loud rock program, and the first single from Bright Young Things, Next Life, enjoyed the number one position on Triple J Unearthed for two weeks last December.

The musicians are well known for their hard rock but also for their charity work and their good will to music fans. A Somerset Parade decided to honour any tickets that were bought in the wake of the cancelled Lismore Music Festival earlier this year.

The band will also play in Brisbane, Cairns, Townsville and Mackay in early 2018.
