Red carpet rolls out for Dolphin Awards 2015

THE BEST and most talented musicians and artists from Northern NSW will meet in Ballina tonight for the North Coast Entertainment Industry Association (NCEIA) Dolphin Awards ceremony 2015.

The event will be held at the Ballina RSL Club Auditorium with doors opening at 6.30pm.

The ceremony is open to the public. Tickets are $35.

A total of 18 awards will be given away tonight, including Album of the Year, Song of the Year, plus Female and Male Vocal awards.

Local artists performing tonight live will be Kellie Knight & the Daze, guitar rock duo Nick & Sam, singer Gracie Hughes, Bluesfest Busking Competition winners Hoo 8 Hoo, Jodie Martin, metal rock troupe SIV, indie duo Two Lions, Mullum Music Festival feature artist Walrus & the Carpenter, SCU music students The Swamp Stompers and the Blue Skillet Rovers.

The North Coast Entertainment Industry Association was formed in 1991 by a number of enthusiastic musicians with the goal of promoting and celebrating the regions rich music and performing arts industry.

The NCEIA aims to bring together and strengthen our region's music community, from Tweed to Coffs Harbour, and to create performance opportunities for members, among others.
