Remembering those lost in war

FLAGS flew with strong gusts of pride for the Ballina Anzac Day commemorative events yesterday.

After a moving dawn service, hundreds of school children and their families braved squalls to give rousing support for those marching in the Anzac Day parade down River St. So too, Alstonville turned out in force.

A highlight of the Ballina RSL Sub Branch Commemoration of Anzac Day event was an address from Emmanuel Anglican College student Jake Davies who recounted dawn breaking over the Gallipoli peninsular last year.
