Millennials call for more wholesome activities at schoolies
MILLENNIALS are demanding more wholesome activities to fill up their Schoolies schedules, with yoga, pilates and zumba classes hot on the agenda this year.
For the first time glowstick yoga and zumba will take over the beach for a rave-style work out session on Tuesday night.

With their gym gear and running shoes packed, Gen Z's increasing focus on health and wellbeing has spilt over to Schoolies, with organisers rushing to fill the void with morning activities for the early-risers.
From Monday one hour yoga and "purifying" pilates classes will help to spiritually centre the Schoolies within the beach hub at Surfers Paradise.

Schoolies.com chief executive Matt Lloyd said Schoolies are looking for a different experience compared to 30 years ago.
"In those early years Schoolies undoubtably focused heavily on drinking, with little associated infrastructure and entertainment to keep partygoers off the streets," he said.
"Those days are long gone, with students having no shortage of options for having a well-rounded good time."
Along with short film screening and art shows, Schoolies will also be encouraged to hone their beach volleyball skills with free coaching most mornings.
