Spoilt for choice at this year’s Bluesfest
BLUESFEST sales are going strong, with a recent report saying they'd reached the 89% sellout mark.
The five-day festival is set to impress fans in its 25th year at Byron Bay.
Headline acts are Jack Johnson, John Mayer and the Dave Matthews Band.
While a handful of music festivals have been struggling in recent months, Bluesfest organisers seem confident they've still got what it takes to draw in those crowds.
Organisers have made it clear on their website they expect to sell out on the Friday, Saturday and possibly Sunday.
"Our 25th anniversary festival is experiencing record ticket sales and we really do expect sell-outs on our main days," they said.
Festival organisers released the timetable last week.
Some fans will certainly have difficult decisions to make after the release (Jack Johnson or John Mayer? Matt Corby or John Butler Trio?) - and organisers have acknowledged this challenge is just part of the festival experience.
"Every year, this moment is highly anticipated and yes, there may be some difficult decisions for you to make," they said.
"There will always be clashes at Bluesfest... some are just unavoidable and may have you running back and forth between stages."
Bluesfest is on from Thursday, April 17 to Monday, April 21 at Tyagarah Tea Tree Farm.
