Third arrest over alleged commercial cannabis crop

A THIRD man has been charged in connection with the alleged ongoing commercial supply of cannabis at Bentley.

Last Wednesday, Richmond Target Action Group officers raided two adjoining properties, on Boundary Creek Rd at Bentley and Hartleys Bridge Rd, Larnook.

Two 33-year-old men, who were neighbours, were arrested and charged with a number of drug-related matters.

Lismore police Chief Inspector Nicole Bruce said officers returned to a Bentley Rd property on Monday and conducted a search warrant.

"The search warrant was conducted as a consequence of items examined from last week's Bentley search warrant," she said.

Police arrested a 26-year-old man at the property who was taken to Lismore police station and charged with knowingly taking part in the cultivation of cannabis.

Chief Insp Bruce said the man was granted conditional bail to appear at Lismore Local Court in July.
