32-year-old man still serious after two trucks collide
UPDATE SAT 12.31: A MAN remains in a serious condition in the Rockhampton Hospital.
Police have confirmed the injured man is from New South Wales.
UPDATE: At 7.30am the RACQ Capricorn Rescue crew returned from a two vehicle accident 20 kilometres north of Marlborough.
RACQ Capricorn Rescue was tasked about 4.30am this morning to attend an accident on the Bruce Highway involving two trucks.
It's believed that a small truck carrying two occupants and travelling north, clipped a semi-trailer.
One occupant of the small truck, a man, was extricated from the vehicle and airlifted from the scene of the accident by RACQ Capricorn Rescue in a serious but stable condition.
The patient was transported to Rockhampton with suspected multiple fractures, head injuries and internal injuries.
UPDATE: A QUEENSLAND Ambulance spokesperson has confirmed the man fighting for his life after a serious truck crash north of Rockhampton is 32 years old.
The spokesperson said the driver of the second truck involved in the crash is being transported to Rockhampton Hospital via road in a stable condition.
UPDATE: Queensland police have released a statement about the serious truck crash north of Rockhampton this morning.
A police spokesperson said police are on the scene of the serious traffic crash which occured approximately 20km north of Marlborough early this morning.
Initial information indicates around 4am two trucks collided on the Bruce Highway for unknown reasons," the spokesperson said.
"One man has sustained life-threatening injuries and has been transported to the Rockhampton Base Hospital.
"The highway is closed and motorists are urged to delay travel or use diversions via Marlborough Sarina Road.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the crash.

UPDATE: RACQ CAPRICORN Helicopter Rescue Service has confirmed it is transporting a man who was involved in the collision on the Bruce Hwy, to Rockhampton Hospital.
The man is in a serious but stable condition.
THE Bruce Highway is closed at Ogmore due to a crash involving two trucks.
The Queensland Ambulance reported at 6.20am that paramedics were on scene about 15km north of Marlborough where a small truck crashed about 3.47am.
A man in his 30s is being treated for multiple injuries and will be flown to hospital by helicopter.
Another man was assessed by paramedics for minor injuries.
Reports indicate a truck travelling northbound on the highway and truck travelling towards Rockhampton have sideswiped, causing the incident.
