Shark concerns change Le-Ba event to sign on only tomorrow

THE Le-Ba Boardriders cancelled their event at Lennox Head this morning when a three metre great white shark was spotted.

"A three metre great white angrily swam/flapped past a bunch of guys out (at) the point just after 6(am)," they posted on their Facebook page.

They have advised that the Little Le-Ba event to be held tomorrow will be another sign on day.

"We'd like to put the kids/adults safety first so tomorrow little leba will just be another sign on day out the front of the pub with the first club round being held next weekend," they posted.

INITIAL:THE Facebook page Shark Reports is reporting a sighting of a three metre great white shark at Lennox Point.

The shark was spotted at approximately 7am this morning and seen by numerous surfers.

A surfing event being held at the time was cancelled.

A shark aerial patrol was conducted at 8.30am.
