Volunteers clean up Evans Head beach

A SMALL group of volunteers came together, during the weekend to clean up plastic debris washed into the northern corner of 10 Mile Beach at Evan's Head.

The clean up was instigated by SCU Enviromental Science student and Evan's Head resident, Matty Smith.

An estimated 180 kgs of plastic debris was collected during the 1 1/2 hour clean up.
